Some bug fixes have also been introduced, so missing textures should no longer be an issue, default resolution should be better, clans can be created again and ladder maps have had their tower locations tweaked. Game lobbies have been expanded to support up to 24 players and a slew of balance changes have been introduced, affecting just about every in-game hero. The interface has been tweaked a bit for this, but that's not the only change made in the patch. The update currently available on the Warcraft 3 PTR adds some UI changes and true widescreen support, so the game will no longer ‘stretch' to fit modern displays. This started off with the original Starcraft and now, attention is being turned to Warcraft. Over the last few years, Blizzard has been making an effort to ensure its classic titles can remain alive and playable on modern systems today and into the future. It has been 16 years since Blizzard first launched Warcraft 3, but the studio hasn't forgotten about it. Now, the first update has landed on Warcraft 3's Public Test Realm.
